This Sums it all up...

This hindi poem just summarizes Sachin's career... I am strictly against plagiarism, this is not my work, but that of a Mukesh Mushira, a devoted Sachin Fan like me...

Bugatti Veyron, the fastest ever!!

The Bugatti Veyron took the world by storm when it was unveiled at an autoshow in 2004. This monster of a car has an 8 litre W-16 engine that packs 1000 HP!!, and for all of us who thought Formula one was the ultimate in supercars, an F1 car has just about 800HP.

But the beauty of the Veyron lies in its Design.. An F1 car seats a lone driver and the driver is just a couple of inches of the ground inside the car. That means the car has a really low centre of gravity, enabling it to take corners at high speed. Also an F1 car weighs about 600kg and it has wings to generate the necessary downforce.

Coming to the Veyron, its designed to look like a passenger car with a seating capacity of two persons. And it stands about 4ft high, and importantly weighs about 2000 kg. To propel such a heavy car, to generate the requisite torque and power, the Veyron has four Turbochargers. And to get the necessary downforce it makes use of a rear spoiler which changes shape with speed and also designs which are as inconspicuous as they get. For example the underside has a venturi shape to generate the downforce.An F1 car needs to last just the length of two races as per the latest rules. on the other hand the Veyron , a passenger car, needs to last about 10 years or so!!

To give you an idea of how fast this car actually is, it blisters from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds!! with a top speed of 402 kph or 375 ft/sec.

For a better comparison, if the hitherto fastest passenger car, The Mc Laren F1 LM and the Bugatti Veyron lined up side by side, and the Mc Laren was given a headstart till it reached 120 mph, and then the Veyron was started, the Veyron would still beat the Mc Laren to 200 mph!! And mind you the Mc Laren F1 LM was faster than all the other contemporaries ( that includes the Ferraris , Porche's ,and what not!)

But the Veyron was produced at a loss for the company. Check this, the car has a 100 litre fuel tank ,which, at full throttle can be emptied in 12 minutes!!, plus it cost only about 1.2 million$, pretty cheap huh?

So the Veyron is probably the Fastest a passenger car can ever go. With the fuel resources getting depleted i dont feel an attempt would be made to make a faster car, which of course would demand more power and hence more fuel. Thus the Veyron is one of a kind, like a star, only to be admired but never to be possessed... come to think of it, even Bill Gates may get Bankrupt Refueling it every 12 mins or so. So, hail "The Bugatti Veyron", the fastest anyone will get on four wheels...
